Since 1994

The same handshake, every load.

Family-owned for thirty years. The trucks got bigger and the second yard opened, but the rule never changed: pay fair, grade honest, and treat the guy with a pickup the same as the guy with a fleet.

Built on repeat customers.

Scrap is a business you only stay in by being trusted twice. Anyone can pay well once. We’ve lasted thirty years because contractors come back — and they come back because the grade is honest and the weight is real.

Jeffrey Sissons started the business in 1994 and set the standard we still run on: a fair price, graded in the open, with no games at the scale. That’s not a slogan — it’s the entire reason a plumber who sold us wire in 1998 still pulls in today, and sends his sons.

We know most of our customers by name and by truck. When you call, you get someone who remembers your last load, not a queue. That relationship — not the size of the yard — is what we’re actually selling.

Still local. Still independent. Still known for paying what we say we’ll pay.

Thirty years

How we got here.

1994
Founded in Deer Park, New York by Jeffrey Sissons.
Moved about twenty miles west to Westbury. [year — confirm]
2011
Opened DPR Scrap Metal as a dedicated ferrous yard — heavy iron got a home of its own, and the non-ferrous side stayed sharp on grading.
Today
Two yards, serving Long Island and all five boroughs — same family, same standard.

Call the yard.

Tell us what you have and where it is. We’ll tell you what it’s worth and which gate to use.
